It is three long processes, each with a strict sequence, a specific location, and a set of products. Get the Z-scheme direction right. Cyclic photophosphorylation yields ATP only; non-cyclic yields ATP and NADPH. That distinction is asked almost every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Calvin cycle and C4.<\/strong> First stable product is 3-PGA in C3 plants and oxaloacetic acid in C4. Learn Kranz anatomy and the role of bundle sheath cells, because C4 questions are usually anatomy questions in disguise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Photorespiration.<\/strong> Understand <em>why<\/em> it happens \u2014 RuBisCO&#8217;s competing affinity for oxygen \u2014 and why C4 plants largely avoid it. This is the single most conceptually tested idea in the chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Limiting factors.<\/strong> Blackman&#8217;s law, and the shape of the response curves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diagrams matter enormously here. <a href=\"https:\/\/ksquareinstitute.in\/blog\/ncert-biology-diagrams-neet-2027\">Memorising NCERT biology diagrams<\/a> is not optional for this chapter, and <a href=\"https:\/\/ksquareinstitute.in\/blog\/previous-year-papers-for-neet-2027\">solving previous year papers<\/a> shows how narrowly it is actually asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"respiration-in-plants\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Respiration in Plants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Respiration in plants NEET<\/strong> questions are location questions as much as pathway questions. Get these fixed first:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Glycolysis<\/strong> \u2014 cytoplasm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Krebs cycle<\/strong> \u2014 mitochondrial matrix<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electron transport system<\/strong> \u2014 inner mitochondrial membrane<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then the pathways themselves: glycolysis and its net yield, fermentation in both alcoholic and lactic acid forms, the TCA cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation via chemiosmosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learn NCERT&#8217;s exact ATP figures rather than a number you picked up elsewhere \u2014 different sources state different totals depending on assumptions, and NEET follows NCERT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Park these in <a href=\"https:\/\/ksquareinstitute.in\/blog\/revision-strategy-for-neet-2027\">spaced revision that sticks<\/a> \u2014 they decay fast. Respiratory quotient is nearly free marks: 1 for carbohydrates, less than 1 for fats, around 0.9 for proteins, and greater than 1 for organic acids. Also know what makes the pathway amphibolic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your grounding in <a href=\"https:\/\/ksquareinstitute.in\/blog\/cell-biology-for-neet-2027\">your cell biology base<\/a> does real work here \u2014 students weak on mitochondrial structure struggle disproportionately with this chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"plant-growth-and-development\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plant Growth and Development<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most memorisation-heavy of the three, and the most reliably scoring if you&#8217;re systematic. <strong>Plant growth and development NEET<\/strong> questions split into two halves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Growth itself:<\/strong> phases of growth, arithmetic versus geometric growth, the sigmoid curve, absolute versus relative growth rate, and the differentiation\u2013dedifferentiation\u2013redifferentiation sequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Plant growth regulators:<\/strong> auxin, gibberellin, cytokinin, ethylene and abscisic acid.
