They aren’t — at least not yet. NMC finalised the 2026 syllabus in December 2025 with no changes from the previous year, and the official 2027 syllabus has not been released. Until it is, you prepare from the current NMC-prescribed syllabus.

Track all official NTA announcements rather than rumour, and plan your hours using subject-wise chapter weightage instead of guessing what might vanish.

Table of Contents

“Deleted” Means Two Different Things

NEET 2027 Deleted Syllabus: Chapters Genuinely Out

The Dangerous Part: Partial Deletions

Why You Should Not Skip Based on Any Blog List

What This Means for Your Preparation

Final Word

❓ FAQ Section

“Deleted” Means Two Different Things

This is the confusion that costs students marks when they read a NEET 2027 deleted syllabus list.

NCERT rationalisation is when NCERT trims content from its textbooks. The NMC syllabus is the official list of what NEET can examine. They overlap heavily but they are not the same document, and they have not always matched.

The rule is simple: the NMC syllabus governs, not your NCERT edition. A topic missing from your rationalised textbook is not automatically outside NEET, and this is exactly where students who skip based on their book alone get caught.

If you’re unsure which material to trust, NCERT versus reference books covers how to use each properly. Bear in mind that the new CBT format changes how you practise in 2027, not what you study.

NEET 2027 Deleted Syllabus: Chapters Genuinely Out

These full chapters were removed in the 2023–24 revision and have stayed out since. This is the practical core of the NEET 2027 deleted syllabus.

Subject

Chapters Removed

Physics

Communication Systems

Chemistry

Solid State, Surface Chemistry, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life, States of Matter, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements

Biology

Reproduction in Organisms, Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production, Environmental Issues

Cross-check any of these against solving previous year papers from recent cycles, which shows what is genuinely being asked. The deleted chapters in NEET chemistry are by far the largest group — which is why Chemistry feels lighter than students expect when they compare an old syllabus to the current one. The topics removed from NEET physics amount to essentially one chapter, so don’t expect much relief there.

The Dangerous Part: Partial Deletions

Full chapters are easy. The trap is topic-level cuts inside chapters that remain in the syllabus.

Several retained chapters had specific sections trimmed during the NCERT rationalised syllabus NEET alignment — parts of Plant Physiology, portions of Ecology, sections of thermodynamics and kinematics. These are the ones students get wrong in both directions: skipping something still examinable, or wasting weeks on something genuinely removed.

Confirm NEET 2027 eligibility rules separately too — those move more often than the syllabus does.

There is no shortcut here. Open the official NMC syllabus PDF, go chapter by chapter for the units you’re studying, and mark your own book against it. It takes an afternoon and it is the single highest-return afternoon of your prep year.

Why You Should Not Skip Based on Any Blog List

Including this one.

Lists circulating online contradict each other constantly. Some carry forward outdated 2023 information. Some copy each other’s errors. Some conflate NCERT deletions with NMC deletions, which as established are different things. And a handful publish speculative NEET syllabus 2027 changes that have no official basis whatsoever.

The cost of getting this wrong is asymmetric. Wasting three weeks on a removed chapter is annoying. Skipping a chapter that turns out to be examinable can cost you thirty marks and a government seat. When the two errors are that unequal, you don’t gamble.

Verify against nmc.org.in before you skip anything. That is the only source that counts.

What This Means for Your Preparation

Download the official NMC syllabus PDF and keep it open beside your books. Not a blog table — the PDF.

Mark your NCERT against it chapter by chapter, once, properly, before you build your study plan.

Watch for the 2027 notification. If NMC issues a revised syllabus for 2027, it will appear on nmc.org.in and through NTA. Assume no change until then.

Use recent question papers as a reality check. What was actually asked in recent cycles is more reliable than any deletion list.

Don’t reallocate all the freed time to celebration. The removed Chemistry chapters were low-weightage. What you gain is a few hours, not a few weeks.

Note too that the delivery change for 2027 affects how you practise even though it doesn’t change what you study.

Final Word

The honest summary of the NEET 2027 deleted syllabus is unglamorous: a handful of Chemistry chapters, one Physics chapter, three Biology chapters, all removed years ago and unchanged since.

There is no secret list, and no shortcut hiding in the NEET 2027 deleted syllabus. The students who benefit from knowing them are the ones who stop preparing eight low-weightage chapters and redirect that time to Genetics, Human Physiology and Mechanics — where the marks actually are.

Verify everything against the official NMC syllabus before acting on it, and update this plan if NMC publishes a revised 2027 syllabus.

❓ FAQ Section

Q: Has NMC deleted any new topics for NEET 2027? A: No new deletions have been announced. The current list dates from the 2023–24 rationalisation and has carried forward unchanged through 2025 and 2026. The official 2027 syllabus has not yet been released, so prepare from the existing NMC syllabus.

Q: Which chapters are completely out of the NEET syllabus? A: Communication Systems in Physics; Solid State, Surface Chemistry, Hydrogen, Environmental Chemistry, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life, States of Matter and Metallurgy in Chemistry; and Reproduction in Organisms, Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production and Environmental Issues in Biology. Confirm against the official PDF before skipping any.

Q: If a topic isn’t in my rationalised NCERT, is it out of NEET? A: Not necessarily. The NMC syllabus governs what NEET can examine, and it is a separate document from your NCERT edition. Always check the NMC syllabus rather than assuming your textbook defines the boundary.

Q: Can I completely ignore the deleted chapters? A: For NEET, yes — provided you’ve verified them against the official syllabus. But if you’re in Class 11 or 12, some of these chapters may still appear in your board exams, so check your board syllabus separately.

Q: Will the syllabus change again before NEET 2027? A: It’s possible. NMC reviews the syllabus periodically and any revision would be published on nmc.org.in. Keep preparing from the current syllabus and adjust only if an official notification appears.

Q: Where do I download the official NEET syllabus? A: From the National Medical Commission website at nmc.org.in, and through the NTA NEET portal. Use the PDF directly rather than a summarised version on a coaching or news site.

Start with the part nobody leads with: there are no new deletions for 2027.
